| About this Artwork: . This fabric art abstract nude torso is created from a drawing I did in an art class years ago. The figure is in cream and gold colored raw silks. The light direction is in a gold cotton with reflective metallic specks. The shadow is in a burgundy and black cotton print. The background and border are hand-dyed grey cotton with hints of rose, and a grey-toned fern print. Satin stitching with cotton and rayon embroidery threads, over thick batting to give the form greater dimension. The border is gallery wrapped around a stretched canvas frame, wired for hanging. |
