| About this Artwork: Blueberries is a fabric art collage designed from a photo taken at the base of Mount Monadnock in Jaffrey, NH. Summer thunderstorms were brewing, though the sun still smiled on the blueberries I used a fused applique method with cotton fabrics, satin stitched with variegated color embroidery threads, then thread-painted with cotton and rayon embroidery threads. The blueberries are dupioni silk. The border is raw silk in a light cream. Batting is organic cotton. Mounted on stretched canvas, with an ash frame in an antiqued pewter color, wired for hanging. |
