| About this Artwork: Dance contrasts static and energetic block elements and abstract weaves with 3D construction to create a theatrical burst of movement and fun. The blocks are beautiful woven silks and embroidered beams of organic twill, over a thickly textured gesso and acrylic painted canvas. The dancers are raw silks, and traditional and organic cottons, on heavy woven interfacing, raised above the background by ash wood blocks. The frame is distressed painted ash wood. |
