| About this Artwork: As winter approaches I find myself longing for a cozy spot on a secluded beach on St. Martin, kicking back and letting the rest of the world just keep on spinning. The background is a layered wash of acrylic paint on canvas, in light turquoise blending through teal to green, reminiscent of those clear Caribbean waters. The person is cotton fabric with acrylic detailing. The tree is a combination of cotton fabrics, in batik and Japanese weaves. The border is a batik cotton print decoupaged in a gallery-wrapped style, suitable for hanging as is or framed. |
