| About this Artwork: This fabric art collage depicts a view of the bridge on the Seine, Pont au Change, overlooking the Palais de Justice on Ile de la Cite in Paris. The sky, water, trees and borders are dupioni silk. The Palais and bridge are cotton prints with satin stitching. Top-stitching with rayon and monofilament thread gives greater texture and detail. The border is gallery wrapped on a stretched canvas, framed in a shabby-chic vintage style frame of painted wood with gold highlights, crackled finish, and linen inset. Wired for hanging. |
