| .About this Artwork: . Trail at Dusk is a free-form art quilt design reminiscent of a scene from a trip to Utah. I kept the forms primitive, to allow the colors and textures to recreate the mood over the details. I used many earth toned cotton prints and hand-dyed fabrics in a fused applique method, then free-motion top-stitched for structure. It is embellished with wood and irridescent blue, lavender and black beading, and fibers including cashmere and rayon yarns and cotton crocheted ribbon. The border is brown faux leather, bound in a traditional quilt style. A sewn-in hanging sleeve on the back allows for hanging with a decorative rod. |
