| .About this Artwork: . While my artwork has progressed in the direction of mixed media work and pictorial expressions, I still love the intricacies of complex geometrics with advanced complex sewing techniques. The spinning sun expresses the vibrancy of the sun and sky, while the background batik captures earthy greens, browns and teals, and the red aboriginal print bridges both realms. This wall-hanging art quilt is top-stitched with variegated color cotton thread, in a saw blade pattern in the center. Each corner highlighted with a Celtic Knot stitch design. The binding is a machine quilt binding, with a sewn in sleeve on the back for a decorative rod. |
